A year has passed since the four troubled women were left with their hearts broken at the end of series one. Katie has now sworn off men and has a new job in a hospital, which appears to be going well until her new boss turns out to be an old flame. Meanwhile, busy mom Trudi is trying to bring in some extra money by baking cakes, Siobhan tries to maintain a dignified facade while she picks up anonymous men in bars, and former lesbian Jessica succumbs to the charms of a handsome playboy.
