Eli Loker is the lead researcher, who believes in radical honesty. He often gets in trouble for saying what he thinks. Ria Torres is one of the few "naturals" in the field of deception detection. She has an untapped ability to read people that makes her a force to be reckoned with the right training.
A disgruntled farmer parks his tractor, that's packed with explosives, near the Treasury Department building, causing Lightman and his team to make som crucial life-or-death decisions. Meanwhile, a field trip for the third-grade gets stuck in the Lightman Group offices, and Loker is forced into playing babysitter, all during a political protest in Washington DC.
